AVAILABLE TUTORING BYTES
HELPFUL HINTS:
- Each Byte Level is a 6 week session.
- Most courses consist of 2 sessions (levels) that build on each other. To get the best results we recommend completing both sessions.
- Suggested grade levels are stated. LE = Lower Elementy 1-3, UE = Upper Elementary 3-5, M = Middle School & Up = 6 – up.
- Recommended grade levels are for your guidance only. We will assess your student’s aptitude and enroll them in the class that best suits their abilities.
When it comes to learning to program, you can never start too soon! But there’s so much to learn that it’s hard to know where to start. Fear not, because our Jr. Programming tutoring lays a perfect foundation, beginning with the very basics and developing to more specialized skills. Using MIT’s Scratch Jr. programming language, your student will learn to program, make their own games, and create stories, all while receiving the personal attention needed to bring their ideas to life.
Is your student bursting at the seams with ideas for their very own games and creations, but not sure where to start? Maybe they already have a foundation in game designs, but need that extra push to bring their ideas to life. That’s what GameLab is here for! Using MIT’s Scratch game engine, we’ll help your student brush up on their fundamentals and dive deep into the specifics of more complex programming tasks. We’re excited to join you on the path to programming mastery!
Whether your student’s a game making pro or just getting started, there are always more fun and educational ideas to explore in the world of game development! In GameStudio Freestyle, students will continue advancing their programming and designing skills, and our instructors will provide the guidance and expertise they need to bring any idea to life in the GameMaker Studio engine!
Does your student love to draw and create? If your student is in love with art and creation, let us help them turn that passion into a solid foundation for a career in a field they love. Our real-life based approach puts students in the shoes of professional designers; they’ll perform tasks for “clients” and develop projects for specific needs, then iterate their designs based on feedback. By the end of their course, they’ll know what it’s like to be a real graphic designer.
Projects will vary depending on grade level.
The world of machine learning is developing faster than we ever could’ve imagined! But don’t worry; we’re here to help! Your student will learn the ins and outs of training models, collecting training data, iterative improvement, and task-based design. Let’s give your student the skills they need to get ahead of the curve and prepare them for this new and exciting technology!

Reminder: Registering for a day or time means you are commiting to a six week session block for that specific day/time. Dates can be set after registration. Each six week block is $325 and includes an initial consultation and end of session parent review.
