A Byte Level is a block of six coaching sessions within your chosen course. Each level develops skills that prepare students for the next.

Most courses include two Byte Levels, and we recommend completing both for a fuller learning experience.

Private coaching offers individual attention, with projects and pacing tailored to your child. A pod brings a small group of students together to explore shared interests, exchange ideas, and learn with guidance from a coach.

Brainy Bytes has been proud to offer sought-after, high-quality STEM education since 2010. We are dedicated to providing outstanding and innovative lesson plans that cultivate skills to encourage higher achievements. To ensure your STEM needs are met, our lesson plans are aligned with state and ISTE standards.

Suggested grade levels are stated in the descriptions of each course. LE = Lower Elementy 1-3, UE = Upper Elementary 3-5, M = Middle School & Up = 6 – up.

However, this is for your guidance only. We will assess your student’s aptitude and enroll them in the class that best suits their abilities.

Jr Coding Levels 1 & 2 (LE)

When it comes to learning to program, you can never start too soon! But there’s so much to learn that it’s hard to know where to start. Fear not, because our Jr. Programming tutoring lays a perfect foundation, beginning with the very basics and developing to more specialized skills. Using MIT’s Scratch Jr. programming language, your student will learn to program, make their own games, and create stories, all while receiving the personal attention needed to bring their ideas to life.

Game Lab Level 1 & 2 (UE & MS)

Is your student bursting at the seams with ideas for their very own games and creations, but not sure where to start? Maybe they already have a foundation in game designs, but need that extra push to bring their ideas to life. That’s what GameLab is here for! Using MIT’s Scratch game engine, we’ll help your student brush up on their fundamentals and dive deep into the specifics of more complex programming tasks. We’re excited to join you on the path to programming mastery!

Game Studio Freestyle (UE & MS)

Whether your student’s a game making pro or just getting started, there are always more fun and educational ideas to explore in the world of game development! In GameStudio Freestyle, students will continue advancing their programming and designing skills, and our instructors will provide the guidance and expertise they need to bring any idea to life in the GameMaker Studio engine!

Graphic Design Level 1 & 2 (UE & M)

Does your student love to draw and create? If your student is in love with art and creation, let us help them turn that passion into a solid foundation for a career in a field they love. Our real-life based approach puts students in the shoes of professional designers; they’ll perform tasks for “clients” and develop projects for specific needs, then iterate their designs based on feedback. By the end of their course, they’ll know what it’s like to be a real graphic designer.

Imagine, Create, Animate

STEAM and creativity have never been more connected! We spend half the day unplugged, using crafts and challenges to encourage students to use their imagination and build a strong spatial understanding – then, we’ll unleash their creativity with 3D modeling softwares like TinkerCad, Blockbench, and animation tools like Toontastic 3D!

 
By the end of the week, your student will be able to build, model, animate, and most importantly, imagine! With so much to learn, the possibilities are endless!

Minecraft Survivor Academy

Maybe you’re a brand-new explorer in Minecraft; perhaps you have some experience as a survivor already. But no matter your Minecraft mastery, there are always more fun and exciting things to learn! 

In our Survivor Academy, students collaborate in teams to expand their critical thinking skills, all while having fun in Minecraft! We guarantee your student will learn something new.

Explore the ins and outs of survival mode, including base building, Redstone wiring, game completion, achievement hunting, and more. Then get hands-on with Minecraft in the real world with themed arts and crafts you can take home, games, and activities! Make friends and conquer the Minecraft world this summer. All experience levels are welcome!

Jr Robotics

Your child brings the innovation – we’ll bring the robots! If your children dream of creating and inventing their own robotic systems, this camp is the perfect place to start.

This exclusive summer camp curriculum invites students to explore robotic innovation and creativity. Each day is a new adventure, with themes including Space, Dinosaurs, Music, Minecraft, and more. Students will get hands on with the NEW Buildy Bot zero-screen time coding systems to not only code their robot, but also build their own unique designs! And that’s not all… Campers will also meet OZOBOT, the very tiny and very cool robot that’s perfect for both programming and play. Team up with other campers to tackle invention, programming, and innovation challenges!

Engineering STEM camp
World Of Engineering

Is your child the curious type, someone who’s always asking questions and trying to find out how things work? If so, this camp is perfect for your little inventor-to-be. 

In World of Engineering, we introduce key engineering fields concepts and explore how they intersect with our everyday lives. From mechanical and civil to environmental and electrical, each day of this camp will introduce your student to a new and exciting field of engineering. Campers will learn about robotics and programming, explore physics and construction, create art and perform experiments, and more, all while learning about the vital role engineers play in our world and how they can make a difference.
